The challenge brief

Imagine. Build. Illuminate.

Teams receive a creative brief and a constrained electronics kit. They must design something useful, expressive or memorable, build the prototype and present the idea under a strict time limit.

Agree the mission rules and success criteria during the briefing, then let your team choose its approach.

What shapes the challenge
  • Every team receives the same core kit
  • The solution must work, not just look good
  • Teams balance creativity with buildability
  • The final pitch explains the design decision
Inside the experience

Your mission, step by step.

A practical progression from the first decision to the final demonstration.

01

Interpret the creative brief

Choose the message or function the illuminated prototype should communicate.

02

Sketch a solution before building

Sketch the idea and allocate the available components before assembly.

03

Prototype with limited components

Build a first version that demonstrates the essential light-based behaviour.

04

Test and refine the circuit

Check the circuit and refine how clearly the output expresses the concept.

05

Pitch the finished concept

Demonstrate the prototype and explain its intended user or use case.

Purpose behind the experience

Build capability through participation.

Creative confidence

Make a visible concept from a small electronics kit.

Rapid experimentation

Use an early working circuit to explore and refine the idea.

Resource management

Choose components around the essential function.

Pitch communication

Explain what the light-based output communicates and why it matters.

Bring the learning back to work.

Innovation rarely begins with unlimited resources. The challenge teaches teams to create within constraints and move from idea to testable output.

Before you book

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Planning details for LED Innovation Challenge. Bring any additional requirements into your conversation with Sieger.

Is this technical or creative?

Both. Teams need enough technical understanding to make the concept work while using creativity to differentiate the result.

How is it scored?

Functionality, concept quality, creativity, teamwork and presentation can be scored separately.

Can Sieger customise the challenge for our objective?

Yes. Difficulty, narrative, scoring, team size, duration, venue layout and the workplace behaviour being explored can all be customised.

Can this be combined with other technology experiences?

Yes. The experience can be combined with electronics, drones, robotics, STEM, software, AI and mechanical challenges to create a larger technology challenge journey.

How many people can take part in LED Innovation Challenge?

The current planning format is 20–100 participants, organised into teams of 5–6. Confirm the final group size with Sieger so equipment, facilitator coverage and team rotations can be planned.

How long should we allow for the experience?

The indicative activity duration is 45–60 min. Briefing, practice, team presentations and debrief requirements can affect the final agenda; agree the complete session timing during planning.

What equipment is involved?

The proposed kit includes LEDs and resistors, Switches / controllers, Breadboards and connectors, Prototype materials, and Design brief and scorecard. Confirm the final equipment list, participant devices and venue requirements with the programme team.

Who is this experience suited to?

The existing format is designed with innovation teams, marketing and creative teams, young leaders, cross-functional groups in mind. Share participants’ experience levels so the technical depth and facilitation can be matched to the group.

How are the results discussed?

The facilitator can use the agreed challenge rules, team decisions and observed results to guide the debrief. The discussion connects creative confidence, rapid experimentation, resource management to situations your team encounters at work.

How do we plan a LED Innovation Challenge session?

Send your preferred date, location, participant count and learning objective through the enquiry form or call +91 98400 97567. Sieger can discuss the suitable format, equipment, venue needs and proposal.
