The challenge brief

Think Faster. Solve Smarter.

Teams solve a series of computational problems, first establishing a correct approach and then improving the solution under time pressure.

Agree the mission rules and success criteria during the briefing, then let your team choose its approach.

What shapes the challenge
  • Correctness comes before optimisation
  • Edge cases can invalidate a solution
  • Teams must explain their logic
  • Scoring can include time and efficiency
Inside the experience

Your mission, step by step.

A practical progression from the first decision to the final demonstration.

01

Understand the problem precisely

Write down the inputs, required output and constraints before solving.

02

Create a first solution logic

Develop a clear sequence of steps that produces a correct result.

03

Test edge cases

Try empty, extreme and unexpected inputs to expose hidden assumptions.

04

Optimise the approach

Reduce unnecessary steps while preserving the correct behaviour.

05

Submit the final solution

Explain the final logic and demonstrate it against the agreed examples.

Purpose behind the experience

Build capability through participation.

Structured thinking

Define a solution as an explicit sequence of steps.

Accuracy

Check that the result holds for unusual inputs.

Optimisation

Reduce unnecessary operations without losing correctness.

Peer review

Invite another teammate to challenge the logic before submission.

Bring the learning back to work.

The race teaches an important workplace principle: speed without correctness creates rework.

Make it work for your team

Before you book

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Planning details for Algorithm Race. Bring any additional requirements into your conversation with Sieger.

Can it be no-code?

Yes. Algorithm puzzles can be delivered as logic and process challenges for non-coding audiences.

Can difficulty be adjusted?

Yes. Problems can range from beginner logic to more technical algorithmic tasks.

Can Sieger customise the challenge for our objective?

Yes. Difficulty, narrative, scoring, team size, duration, venue layout and the workplace behaviour being explored can all be customised.

Can this be combined with other technology experiences?

Yes. The experience can be combined with electronics, drones, robotics, STEM, software, AI and mechanical challenges to create a larger technology challenge journey.

How many people can take part in Algorithm Race?

The current planning format is 20–120 participants, organised into teams of 4–6. Confirm the final group size with Sieger so equipment, facilitator coverage and team rotations can be planned.

How long should we allow for the experience?

The indicative activity duration is 60 min. Briefing, practice, team presentations and debrief requirements can affect the final agenda; agree the complete session timing during planning.

What equipment is involved?

The proposed kit includes Coding environment, Problem cards, Test cases, Validator, and Scoreboard. Confirm the final equipment list, participant devices and venue requirements with the programme team.

Who is this experience suited to?

The existing format is designed with software teams, analytics teams, engineering teams, graduate programs in mind. Share participants’ experience levels so the technical depth and facilitation can be matched to the group.

How are the results discussed?

The facilitator can use the agreed challenge rules, team decisions and observed results to guide the debrief. The discussion connects structured thinking, accuracy, optimisation to situations your team encounters at work.

How do we plan a Algorithm Race session?

Send your preferred date, location, participant count and learning objective through the enquiry form or call +91 98400 97567. Sieger can discuss the suitable format, equipment, venue needs and proposal.
